Dime Bank Foundation recently donated $2,500 to the Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need (RI CAN) for costs associated with agency operation and program expenses. The grant will enable them to continue their year round weekly food pick-up and distribution in support of working low-income families and individuals in southern Rhode Island.
Established in 2001 to provide food for the hungry, RI CAN is southern Rhode Island’s largest food distribution pantry. Their mission is to provide, with dignity, emergency food and outreach to thousands of at risk neighbors in southern Rhode Island and surrounding communities.
