Dime Foundation Awards $2,500 to Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries
Dime Bank Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen for the purchase of wholesale food for distribution at the Old Lyme Food Pantry and Meal Site and the East Lyme Food Pantry.
Dime Bank Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen for the purchase of wholesale food for distribution at the Old Lyme Food Pantry and Meal Site and the East Lyme Food Pantry. In 2016, the two pantries served 2,263 people in need from New London County.
Founded in 1989, Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries serves eleven CT shoreline towns, providing food and fellowship to people in need and educates the community about hunger and poverty. Meal sites are located in Centerbrook, Essex, Deep River, Chester, Old Saybrook, Clinton, Old Lyme and Westbrook.
