The Dime Bank Foundation recently donated $7,500 to the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Connecticut.  This year’s donation marks the eleventh consecutive year of Dime Bank’s support to the organization. 

Funds will be used to purchase beds for needy families in southeastern Connecticut.  Recipients include but are not limited to victims of fire or flood, disabled veterans, young military families, single parents, the elderly, and the formerly homeless.

The Furniture Bank, located in Gales Ferry, CT has operated for thirty-five years.  Originally an outreach of St. Luke Lutheran Church, the Furniture Bank receives recipient referrals from social service agencies.
