This year has a milestone one for Dime, marked by celebrations and recognition. This month, Dime received recognition of national significance when the Bank was ranked as the #2 bank in all of Connecticut by Forbes!
According to Forbes, in today’s competitive marketplace, banks and other financial institutions have been forced to step up their services and amenities to please customers and retain their assets.

In doing their research, Forbes noticed a massive divergence on how well banks are at doing this. To gauge which firms have the most satisfied customers, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 25,000 people in the U.S. about their banking relationships.

Customers were asked to answer up to 20 questions about their experiences with their bank, credit union or other financial institution. The banks and other financial institutions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five “sub dimensions” (trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services and financial advice). National financial institutions with branches in at least 15 states were excluded from the final rankings.

Forbes’ survey resulted in their second annual look at the Best-In-State Banks. Between one and five banks in each state were awarded a best-in-state designation, based on the number of responses in each state. Overall, only 149 banks qualified nationally, or 3.1% of the total number of U.S. financial institutions.
