Dime Bank is pleased to announce the arrival of Gerald Tavernier as Vice President, Senior Commercial Lender serving the greater Hartford market.   

Gerry joins Dime Bank from People’s United Bank where he most recently held the role of Commercial Banking Officer since 2007. This time included numerous years at Rockville Bank and United Bank where he worked closely with many local business owners and was responsible for significant portfolio growth. Prior to his time at People’s United Bank, Gerry worked for UPS Capital Business Credit, Fleet Bank, and The Boston Five Mortgage Corporation, with a total of 34 years in financial services upon joining Dime.
 
In his new role at Dime, Gerry is responsible for lending to businesses in and around the greater Hartford service area. His local lending expertise adds to a successful and experienced team of lenders, recognized as the leading commercial lending team headquartered in southeastern Connecticut.

Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Rideshare Corporation and has volunteered for both the Tolland County and South Windsor Chambers of Commerce.
