Dime Bank’s Stonington Branch Manager, Erin Tirrell, was named a New Leader in Banking by the Connecticut Bankers Association (CBA) at an award ceremony held at Mohegan Sun on June 10, 2021.

The New Leaders in Banking distinction is given to those who have a positive impact on their community and organization by demonstrating leadership, achieving their business goals, and going above and beyond for their local communities. Businesses nominate employees who are then presented to a panel of impartial judges. The judges then select the finalists.
 
Tirrell joined Dime Bank in 2004 as a Customer Service Representative in the Westerly Branch and was instrumental in building new relationships. In 2009, when Dime opened its Stonington Branch, Erin split her time between the communities to use her local knowledge and network to assist both branches.

Erin has always been active in the community where she has deep ties as a graduate of Westerly High School. She has been in the banking industry for 21 years and has been an employee at Dime Bank for 17 years. She is an active member of the Stonington Community Center and Stonington Borough Merchants Association.

During the award ceremony which honored 14 bankers, Erin was recognized for her many career accomplishments as a Branch Manager as well as her various contributions to the community.
