Dime Bank Names Two New Board Members

Dime Bank recently held its 151st annual meeting, highlighted by the recognition of two new members to the bank’s Board of Directors.

Norwich, CT Wednesday, April 1, 2020

Dime Bank recently held its 151st annual meeting, highlighted by the recognition of two new members to the bank’s Board of Directors. In keeping with its COVID-19-related efforts to safeguard its customers, employees and corporators, the meeting was conducted virtually through an audio conferencing system.
 
At the meeting, President and CEO Nick Caplanson announced that Bonnie Stewart, Executive Director of the Connecticut Society of CPAs, Rocky Hill, CT, and Paul C. Maxfield, Vice President at A/Z Corporation in North Stonington, have been  elected to Dime’s Board of Directors.
 
"I am very pleased to have these two talented business leaders join our Board of Directors,” said Mr. Caplanson. “The combined experiences and expertise of both Bonnie and Paul will be invaluable as we further build on our history of success as a leading community bank.”
 
Ms. Stewart heads up a dynamic team of professionals at the CT Society of CPAs and its Educational Trust Fund, which represents approximately 6000 individuals in public practice, business and industry, government and education. Prior to this, she spent over 25 years with the CT Business and Industry Association (CBIA), most recently as Vice President of Government and Public Affairs & General Counsel.
 
Mr. Maxfield is a Vice President with the A/Z Corporation. He joined the company in 1999 and is the former Chief Financial Officer, where his responsibilities included oversight of the company’s corporate finance and accounting teams, as well as all company treasury functions and financial compliance. He has a long history of board service and volunteerism and is presently a member of the Niantic Fire Department.
