Dime Bank Awards $5,000 to New London County Fire Chiefs'

Norwich, CT - Dime awarded $5,000 to the New London County Fire
Chiefs' Association (NLCFCA) as the Chief Corporate Sponsor of the 127th
Annual CT State Firefighters Convention on September 17-19, 2010. "The
convention has been hosted for more than 100 years and serves as the focal
point in improving the health, safety and welfare of the members. This
is the first time in our history that all 60 fire departments will meet
at the convention," said Chief Patrick Daley. Fire departments from
New London County, across the state of CT and RI, will be in attendance
to discuss various topics including legislative matters and equipment
development. On the convention agenda is a parade held on September 18th
that will take place in New London. Chief Daley said, "I want to
say thank you to Dime for making this possible and showing their support."
The NLCFCA provides mutual aid to neighboring fire departments and emergency
medical services making economically challenged times a lot easier for
the fire departments and EMS in adjacent counties.
The Association continues to grow and offers a wide cadre of support to
member departments during demanding times. Jim Cronin, president of Dime
Bank said, "We are proud to support the NLCFCA, as it plays an important
role in educating it's members and through them responding to emergencies
