Dime Bank Blue Crew Hit the Pavement Again
for the March of Dimes Walk
News Release - April 27, 2009
Norwich, CT - The Dime Bank Blue Crew hit the ground running
again, this time at the March of Dimes Walk on Sunday, April 26th at Bluff
Point State Park in Groton. More than 40 Dime Bank employees, their families
and friends walked in support of the March of Dime's mission to prevent
birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Several members of
Dime's Blue Crew also volunteered their time prior to the walk
with set-up and registration.
Not including individual collections and contributions, the Dime Bank
Blue Crew raised more than $1,700 by selling March of Dimes sneaker
sponsorships and hosting an employee blue jeans fundraiser day. All funds
were donated to assist the March of Dimes in continuing its research,
community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives.
