Dime Bank Blue Crew on the Road Again - Gearing up for the Women's Business Apparel Drive

News Release - April 24, 2009

Norwich, CT - The Dime Bank Blue Crew is on the road again - this time to the Business Apparel Drive to benefit local women on Sunday, April 26 at the Holiday Inn's Chelsearose Ball Room, 10 Laura Boulevard in Norwich. From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Bank's Blue Crew will be on-hand to support the mission of the drive. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Thames River Family Program in Norwich.

From complete ladies suits to separates, Dime Bank employees collected and donated dozens of articles of clothing. Customers and other members of the community were also invited to give gently used clothing to the Drive. Dime staff members also volunteered to help sort the clothing with event organizer, Dena Whatley from Backus Hospital; and are volunteering as cashiers on the day of the sale.

The Business Apparel Drive gives women access to business apparel at reasonable costs. Guests will enjoy a Dress Barn fashion show, as well as Dress Barn coupons and door prizes. Grasso Technical High School cosmetology students will also be giving tips for professional hair and make-up.

The Thames River Family Program is a supportive community for local mothers and their children. If you have questions about the Business Apparel Drive, call (860) 823-6378.
