News Release - March 2, 2009

Norwich, CT - The Dime Bank Blue Crew participated in Oakdale Elementary School's "People in the Community Day" on Wednesday, February 11. Along with 10 other local businesses, the Blue Crew set up a show-and-tell booth, and talked to the second grade class about their roles at the Bank.

Dime Bank's Montville Branch Manager, Monica MacNeil and Montville Customer Service Representative, Pam Church, shared information about the daily functions at the bank, and had props including, a safe deposit box, tube from the drive-up window, and a coin box and rack on-hand for the children to explore.

Blue Crew member, Monica MacNeil said, "It was encouraging that so many students were interested in the program and asked questions. Our most popular question was, 'How do you make money?' We had a lot of fun with the students, and found it to be a great learning experience."
