Dime Bank "Blue Crew" - A New Philosophy to an Age
Old Tradition
News Release - February 2009
Norwich, CT - Dime Bank is proud to announce the launch of Dime
Bank Blue Crew - a grass roots effort developed to capture Dime's
140-year old tradition of supporting and giving back to the community.
The outreach philosophy of Dime Bank will continue to grow during 2009,
and the Blue Crew will become Dime Bank's voice of public support.
"Since 1869, Dime Bank has stood for people helping people,"
said Jim Cronin, president. "The dedication of Dime's staff to our
community is unrivaled. So many employees volunteer their time and talent
to assist in planned efforts to aid local residents, schools and non-profit
organizations and we want to continue and build on that legacy. The Dime
Bank Blue Crew is just another vehicle in which Dime employees
can continue their individual and collective contributions to the community.
I know together we can make a difference."
Dime has appointed team captains, Melissa Colli and Gale Ennis, who will
help coordinate volunteer efforts throughout the year. The Dime Bank Blue
Crew plans to participate in supporting education, non-profits, events,
human needs, blood drives and general volunteerism. To learn more about
the Dime Bank Blue Crew, please send an email to bluecrew@dime-bank.com.
